Incandescent

from $75.00

Incandescent Fine Art Print-Matte

“I listened to a lot of classical music while painting this and when it was done I saw two people yearning to be together, like a scene from pride and prejudice” thats why I titled it “Incandescent” when used figuratively (especially in a romantic or emotional context), it means brilliantly glowing with intense emotion, passion, or beauty.”

Jill Blocks latest series of paintings draws on the layered interplay of memory, nature, and poetic imagination. Her daily walks ton the beach offer more than just scenery—they provide emotional texture and metaphors that shape her intuitive, un-sketched approach to painting. A thread runs throughout the series, where themes of love, longing, and quiet connection emerge in soft, restrained palettes and open compositions that invite contemplation and emotional stillness.

Reflecting on the inevitability of change, this work considers the constants that remain throughout life's transitions. It is a meditation on gratitude, resilience, and the enduring connections that ground us.
